PyroJam – which begins with high energy live music entertainment and culminates in world class pyromusical firework displays – is a magical event brimming with artistic creativity and vibrant appeal for people of all ages.
Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum, a 560-acre state park situated directly on the Patuxent River, is only 8.4 miles from Route 4. Parking lots and the fireworks viewing field are located on a grassy area.
PyroJam offers designated handicapped parking spaces for its guests in both the General Admission and Preferred Parking areas. These spots are located as close to improved surfaces as possible; however, the parking spot itself will be on grass. Limited shuttle service is available for those who need assistance with the approximately five-minute walk to the main gate from the general parking areas.
Guests must reserve handicapped parking spaces when purchasing tickets. A designated license plate or placard MUST BE DISPLAYED for admission into the event’s handicapped-accessible parking areas.
Absolutely! Proceeds from our event benefit The Arc of Southern Maryland whose mission is to create opportunities for independence and personal success for people with different abilities in inclusive communities.
Definitely your friends and family (remember, kids 5 and under are free!) Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs for seating – arrive early to save your space and then enjoy the rest of PyroJam’s activities. Other items: suntan lotion, bug spray, earplugs for the youngsters, and small coolers (11”x11”x7”) and small chair mounted umbrellas.
No pets, large coolers, alcohol, or drugs (including marijuana). No tailgating, no RVs, no drones, no pop-ups/tents/canopies, no firearms, and no fireworks.
We will have a multitude of food trucks with a wide range of both savory and tasty treats along with refreshing drink options available for purchase.

Please note: PyroJam is a rain or shine event. If severe weather prevents the performance, the fireworks show* will take place the following evening (Sunday, August 25 at 8 p.m.)
*May exclude musical entertainment, Kids Zone, and food trucks based upon these vendor’s previous commitments. Information will be conveyed to our attendees concerning which vendors may return the following day as soon as possible if event is postponed.
